Taapsee Pannu, Shah Rukh Khan cast in Rajkumar Hirani’s immigration drama

Actor Taapsee Pannu will star opposite Shah Rukh Khan in director Rajkumar Hirani’s new social drama, according to reports.

Khan is expected to play an immigrant from Punjab who moves to Canada. Little has been revealed about Pannu's character. 

The film, which marks Hirani's sixth directorial venture, remains untitled. 

Although the actors have not shared the screen before, Pannu's film Badla was produced by Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment. 

Fans, on the other hand, are eagerly waiting for Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film Pathan, starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in key roles.

Taapsee Pannu will also have a busy year with the upcoming release of her three films, Looop Lapeta, Rashmi Rocket and Do-Baara. 

Hirani, who directed only five films, including 3 Idiots, Lage Raho Munna Bhai and PK, is one of the most acclaimed Bollywood directors.
