Anoushka Shankar performed a special tribute to the Concert for Bangladesh, celebrating the 50 years of Bangladesh's independence, at the prestigious Abbey Road Studios in London.
George Harrison, who was the sitar apprentice of Indian classical musician Ravi Shankar, was deeply moved by the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971. The Beatles guitarist and the sitar virtuoso thus took the initiative of holding a pair of concert benefits, known as 'Concert for Bangladesh.'
