Russell Crowe to star in ‘Thor: Love and Thunder'

The Gladiator actor Russell Crowe has landed a mysterious cameo role in 'Thor: Love and Thunder'.

The actor will be seen alongside Chris Helmsworth, Natalie Portman and Christian Bale. What’s more, Matt Damon, who appeared in 'Thor: Ragnarok', will reprise his cameo role in this sequel as well.

The film is slated for release on May 6, 2022. Helmed by director Taika Waititi, this is the fourth film in the Thor franchise whose plot details have not been made public, with Crowe’s role being kept under wraps as well.

Deadline confirmed the actor’s casting after he had been spotted with fellow cast members in Australia.

Crowe last appeared in action thriller 'Unhinged', which received mixed reviews.

The actor is also set to star in ‘Green Book’ director Peter Farrelly’s new film “The Greatest Beer Run” alongside Zac Efron and Bill Murray.

Based on Chick Donahue and JT Malloy’s book titled “The Greatest Beer Run Ever: A Memoir of Friendship, Loyalty and War”, the film will detail author Donahue’s attempt to bring beers from New York to his friends, who were fighting in the Vietnam War.
