Moby Doc, a feature-length “rockumentary” based on DJ Moby’s life is set to premiere on May 28 in theatres as well as digital platforms. Greenwich Entertainment launched the first trailer on April 1.
The surrealist film, directed by Rob Bralver, is narrated by Moby himself who reflects on his turbulent personal life and iconic music. He had appeared in numerous music docs as a talking head.
He will from underground punk bands to chart-topping solo artist, and from struggling addict to vegan activist.
The film features interviews with David Lynch and David Bowie along with concert footage, and dramatic re-enactments. Apart from his chart-topping music, it dives into his traumatic childhood, drug abuse and activism.

Moby has sold over 20 million albums worldwide. He is best known for his fifth album, Play (1999). “The king of techno” had released two memoirs, Porcelan: A Memoir (2016) and Then It Fell Apart (2019).
