Clarke is following in the footsteps of her 'Game Of Thrones' co-stars, including Peter Dinklage, who appeared in 'Avengers: Infinity War,' and Kit Harington who will be in upcoming Marvel film 'Eternals'
Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ limited series, “Secret Invasion,” featuring Samuel L Jackson’s Nick Fury character in the lead role, has confirmed the casting of "Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke and Oscar-winning actor Olivia Colman.
Previously, Ben Mendelsohn and Kingsley Ben-Adir joined the ensemble cast.
“Secret Invasion” originates from the comic book storyline revolving around the Skrulls who happen to be brilliant shapeshifters and can easily impersonate major superheroes.
Clarke is following in the footsteps of other “Game Of Thrones” stars, including Peter Dinklage, who has appeared in “Avengers: Infinity War."
Kit Harington and Richard Madden, who played the Stark brothers in the HBO show, will also star in upcoming Marvel film “Eternals”.
Clarke is not new to big franchises. She has previously played the role of Han Solo's love interest in 'Solo: A Star Wars Story' and Sarah Connor in 'Terminator Genisys'
Further details about the series have not been revealed yet.
