Five films to watch this September

The pandemic has been a cause of great distress for the film industries around the world, including Hollywood, which is still grappling with Covid restrictions, limited theatre capacity and the formidable rise of the streaming platforms. Yet, a few good blockbusters are finally getting released this month as vaccine roll-out picks up pace. Here are the top five releases of September:

Malignant

Release: September 1

The Eyes of Tommy Faye

Release date: September 17

Starring Jessica Chastain and Andrew Garfield, this much-awaited September release offers an intimate look at the extraordinary rise, fall and redemption of televangelist Tammy Faye Bakker.

 


No Time to Die

Release: September 30

James Bond has left active service. His peace is short-lived when Felix Leiter, an old friend from the CIA, turns up asking for help, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.
