Mahiya Mahi ties the knot

Prominent Dhallywood actor Mahiya Mahi tied the knot with a Gazipur-based businessman and politician Kamruzzaman Sarker Rakib.

The wedding ceremony took place on Monday, September 13, at 12.05am. Mahi announced the news on her Facebook handle and asked for prayers from her fans and well wishers.

She wrote, "Today, September 13, at 12:05 am, we got officially married. Everything else was a rumour. Our only wish is that you pray for us."

Politician and businessman Kamruzzaman Sarker Rakib grew up in Gazipur and attended the Bhawal Badre Alam Govternment College there. He is a Dhaka University alumnus.

Earlier, Mahi was married to businessman Mahmud Pervez Opu from 2016 to 2021. The couple finalized their divorce in May.

One of the highest paid actors of Bangladesh, Mahi bagged the 'Best Film Actress ' for “Agnee” at the Meril Prothom Alo Awards 2014. She made her acting debut with the 2012 film "Bhalobashar Rong."
