Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan placed on 3-day remand in drugs probe

Shah Rukh Khan's eldest son, Aryan Khan was arrested along with two others after a raid at a rave party on a cruise ship. A case was filed against him for possessing 13 grams of cocaine, five grams of MD, 21 grams of charas and 22 pills of Ecstasy. 

Aryan was presented before the judge on Monday, October 3 -- represented by senior advocate Satish Manshinde, who argued in court that the discovery of drugs on the ship did not imply direct possession or consumption by Aryan. 

Aryan has been sent to NCB custody till October 7. 

India's Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials reportedly received information about the rave party weeks ago and decided to go undercover on the ship. 

The officials posed as passengers and raided the high-profile party attended by Aryan Khan, Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz Khan Merchant and others.

NCB chief SN Pradhan told the press, “We are acting in an impartial manner. In the process, if some connections to Bollywood or rich people emerge, so be it. We have to act within the purview of the law. We have to keep on working in Mumbai. If you look at the data, there must have been more than 300 raids in the last one year. This will continue whether foreign nationals are involved, film industry or rich people are involved.”

A report on India Today claims that Aryan cried during the one-day interrogation and confessed to have been consuming drugs for the last four years.
