Nat’l Women’s Rugby begins

A total of 13 teams, divided into four groups, will take part in the competition

The Walton 3rd National Women’s Rugby Competition, organised by Bangladesh Rugby Federation Union, got underway Sunday.

The three-day event will conclude Tuesday with the final and prize giving ceremony, while the opening ceremony will be held Monday.

The details of the tournament were announced in a press conference at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka Sunday.

A total of 13 teams, divided into four groups, will take part in the competition.

Group A comprises Narail, Jamalpur, Rangpur and Joypurhat, Group B contains Kishoreganj, Rajshahi and Habiganj, Group C comprises Narayanganj, Dhaka and Dinajpur while Group D contains Thakurgaon, Chandpur and Cox’s Bazar.

Only the group champions will advance to the semi-final.
