Bangladesh face Bahrain Friday

Ahead of their opening match, the men in red and green arrived in Manama, capital of Bahrain, at 1am in the early hours of Thursday night

Bangladesh will kick off their 2020 AFC U-23 Championship Qualifiers campaign Friday when they take on host Bahrain at Khalifa Sports City Stadium in Isa Town.

The Group B match gets underway at 7pm, Bangladesh standard time.

Palestine and Sri Lanka are the other two Group B teams.

Ahead of their opening match, the men in red and green arrived in Manama, capital of Bahrain, at 1am in the early hours of Thursday night.

The team have been accommodated at Elite Resorts and Spa Hotel in Manama where they will stay during the whole competition.

Yesterday, the team had breakfast at 9:30am local time before attending the manager's meeting at 11:00am. 

Then the team had lunch at 1:30pm.

The 11 group champions and four best runners-up sides will qualify for the final round, scheduled to be hosted by Thailand next year in January. 

Prior to their arrival in Bahrain, the Bangladesh team underwent a 10-day conditional camp in Qatar, where they also played two practice matches.

Bangladesh won one and drew the other warm-up match.
