If the Bangladesh archers qualify for the last eight in the recurve singles, team event and mixed team event then they will advance to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and coach, German Martin Frederick is targeting exactly that
After a semi-final finish in the recent World Cup Archery Stage 2, Bangladesh team are eyeing a good show in the 2019 World Archery Championship, scheduled to be held in the Netherlands from June 9-16.
If the Bangladesh archers qualify for the last eight in the recurve singles, team event and mixed team event then they will advance to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and coach, German Martin Frederick is targeting exactly that.
During the press conference Thursday, Frederick said, “The best archers from all the countries will take part in this edition. Our target is to fight hard against them and qualify for the last eight. But it will not be easy there. Even then I am hopeful of something positive. If we go step by step, then achieving a good result is possible.”

In recent times, Bangladesh progressed to the semi-final in the team event of the World Cup in Shanghai, China, while Mohammad Roman Shana performed well in the Asian Archery.
Frederick said they will be looking to continue their run of good form recently.
“It is possible for Roman, Tamimul [Islam] and Beauty [Ray] to do well. I won’t be surprised if they combine well and bring out a good result,” said the German coach.
