Mohammad Ruman Shana qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics after making a surprising leap at the World Archery Championships in the Netherlands as the top Bangladesh archer reached the semi-final of the recurve individual event following his wins over South Korean and Dutch Olympians Kim Woojin and Sjef Van Den Berg respectively.
Ruman however, lost his semi-final against Malaysian archer Khairul Anuar Mohamad by 7-3 sets.
Ruman beat Kim by 6-4 sets in the pre-quarterfinal.
Kim had won gold in the recurve team event in Rio Olympics 2016.

Ruman then won the quarter-final more dominantly by 6-2 sets against Berg, who finished fourth in the individual event in Rio.
Ruman earlier beat Australian archer Ryan Tyack by 6-4 sets in the third round.
Ruman scripted a brilliant comeback from a first-round defeat in the third round, and the pre-quarter-final.
