Bangladesh team are spending a relaxed time as the players enjoyed their first day of leave in Birmingham Wednesday.

The Tigers reached the Midlands Tuesday from Southampton.

Their next match is against India at Edgbaston, which will be played Tuesday.

With a week’s time in hand, the team management gave four days’ rest to players who have been on tour since the first week of May, for the tri-nation ODI series in Ireland and now the World Cup.

“We have a few days in our hand before the next match against India. We have been granted leave from cricket for four days, which is really good for us. A few players have gone to difference places to refresh themselves. Majority members of our squad are here and we are enjoying our leisure time,” informed off-spinning all-rounder Mehedi Hasan Miraz while roaming at Hyatt Regency Hotel where the Bangladesh team are residing in Birmingham.

Bangladesh have seven points from seven matches, including three wins.

Following the India clash, the Tigers will take on Pakistan in their final group stage match at Lord’s.

Bangladesh need to win both matches, and hope for other favorable results in order to make it to the semi-final.
