Ruman exits World Archery in third round

After losing the opening set by 28-26 points, Mohammad Ruman Shana couldn’t stand well for the second set which he lost by 30-24 points

Mohammad Ruman Shana was eliminated from the World Cup Stage 4 after losing against Olympic medalist Brady Ellison of the USA by 6-0 sets in the third round of the men's recurve individual event in Berlin, Germany Thursday. 

After losing the opening set by 28-26 points, Ruman couldn’t stand well for the second set which he lost by 30-24 points.

The top Bangladesh archer had a better fight in the third set but lost marginally by 29-28 points.

Brady won bronze in the Rio Olympics 2016 and was the gold-medalist of the 2019 World Archery Championship where Ruman earned Bangladesh its first medal (bronze).

In the process, he became the second athlete from the country to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics 2022.
