The Bangladesh team are comfortable touring Sri Lanka, said their captain for the series, Tamim Iqbal.

It however, doesn’t matter how unworried the Bangladesh cricketers are, and the host nation doesn’t want to take any chances.

It is only in April that the island nation was hit with a series of terrorist attacks which killed at least 259 people.

Bangladesh are the first team to visit the country since then and the host nation has taken all possible measures to keep the visiting side comfortable.

But then again, there is a protocol to follow if a Bangladesh team member wants to go out so that staying back in hotel does not turn boring.

The Tigers have considered team bonding sessions as a way to pass the time.

Yesterday it was a group of five in the team that had turned into chefs to cook dinner for the whole team.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim took to the apron of the head chef as Sabbir Rahman, Farhad Reza, Mehedi Hasan Miraz and Mahmudullah worked as the helping hands.

The team cooked Bengali dishes cuisine with some ingredients that travelled all the way from Dhaka.

“The idea behind the dinner party is to create the bonding among the players as there is nothing much to do for them rather than staying at the hotel apart from the training,” said head coach for the series, Khaled Mahmud to the media Wednesday.

Visitors Bangladesh will begin their three-match ODI series Friday taking on the host in the first game at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

However, before that, the team will visit one of the affected spots from the terrorist attacks.

Bangladesh team will visit a church that is located near the venue which was bombed on the Easter Morning in April this year.

The Tigers will pay homage to the lives lost before they head to the stadium for their final practice session before the series starts.
