Women’s T20I Qualifier abandoned

The first match between Bangladesh women’s team and their Papua New Guinea counterparts in the World T20I Qualifiers was abandoned without a ball bowled due to rain in Scotland Saturday.

The Tigresses will play this match Monday, the allotted reserve day.

Meanwhile, they will play their second group stage match against the USA Sunday at Arbroath.

The Bangladesh cricketers were on a 10-day conditional camp in the Netherlands before the tournament.

The top two teams from the Qualifiers will progress to the 2020 World T20I, which is scheduled to be held in Australia from February 21 to March 8. 

Australia, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and the West Indies have already qualified for the World T20I.
