The Tigers will take part in three practice sessions prior to their maiden five-dayer against the visiting Afghans
Bangladesh cricket team arrived in Chittagong Sunday evening, ahead of their one-off Test match against Afghanistan, scheduled to begin Thursday at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
The Tigers will take part in three practice sessions prior to their maiden five-dayer against the visiting Afghans.
“I am delighted to return to the side after a long time. I”ll try to give my best if I get the opportunity in the playing XI. Everyone please pray for me so that I can remain fit,” paceman Taskin Ahmed, who played the last of his five Tests two years ago, told the media at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
“We will be ahead than the Afghans since this is our home condition. If we can give our best, we will definitely get success. Our preparation was good under our new head coach (Russell Domingo). We trained hard for 10-12 days. Hope the result goes in our favor,” said spinner Mehedi Hasan Miraz, who is a slight doubt after injuring his finger during training.
Miraz though expressed hope that he would be fully fit come the solitary Test.
