Bangladesh left-arm spinner Taijul Islam emerged as the quickest bowler to reach 100 Test wickets for his country.
Going into the one-off Test match against Afghanistan, Taijul needed one scalp to reach the milestone.
The 27-year old reached the feat in 25 Test matches.
The record was previously held by Shakib al Hasan, who had reached the landmark in 28 games.
Former spinner Mohammad Rafique first bagged 100 Test wickets for Bangladesh in 33 matches.
