Tarek Mahmud, head of sports of Prothom Alo, claimed the sports journalist accolade for the year 2018 as the Bangladesh Sports Press Association awards night was held at a city hotel Saturday.
Sadman Sakib, staff reporter of Channel 24, won the feature report award while Sanat Babla, special correspondent of Kaler Kantho, bagged the performer of the year award.
Rahenur Islam, senior sub-editor of Kaler Kantho notched the series report award while Tarek also scooped the exclusive report award.
Masud Parvez, special correspondent of Kaler Kantho, claimed the best interview award while Firoz Ahmed, staff photographer of Daily Star, bagged the sports photography award.
