Bangladesh women’s cricket team’s losing run in the ongoing Pakistan tour continued as the Tigresses lost the first ODI to their Pakistani counterparts by 29 runs at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and conceded a 1-0 lead in the two-match series Saturday.
Previously, Bangladesh women got whitewashed 3-0 in the T20I series by the home side.
Opting to bat, Pakistan riding on opener Nahida Khan, ended their innings on 215 before getting all out in the penultimate ball of the 49th over.
Nahida, who featured in a 59-run opening stand with her partner Sidra Ameen, scored 68 while skipper Bismah Maroof made 39.
Jahanara Alam took three wickets conceding 44 runs while Nahida Akter and Panna Ghosh bagged two apiece.
While chasing, Bangladesh suffered early setbacks as former skipper Sana Mir removed both Murshida Khatun and Sanjida Islam in successive overs.

Tigresses kept losing wickets and got all out for 186 in 47.4 overs to bring an end to proceedings.
Nigar Sultana top-scored for Bangladesh with 58 while Nashra Sandhu’s 3/28 was the best bowling figure for the Pakistan side.
Besides, Sana and debutant Sadia Iqbal took two wickets each.
Pakistan’s Nahida was adjudged player of the match for her innings-building half-century.
The second and final ODI between the two sides will be played Monday at the same venue.
