Wicketkeeper-batsman Amit Hasan struck a fine century as Sylhet took a 11-run lead against Dhaka Metropolis following the second day of the fifth round of the National Cricket League in Cox’s Bazar Sunday.
Amit struck 125 off 124 balls, featuring 19 fours and a six as Sylhet posted 322 losing six wickets in 83 overs in the tier two match.
Amit added 109 for the fifth wicket with Asadullah Galib (59) to take Sylhet past Dhaka Metro’s first-innings total.
New-ball bowler Shahidul Islam bagged two wickets for Dhaka Metro.
Earlier, Dhaka Metro, resuming on their overnight score of 282 for seven wickets in 76 overs, added 29 for the loss of one further wicket in 7.5 overs before declaring their innings.
National discard Shamsur Rahman top-scored for Dhaka Metro with 114 while the diminutive Al Amin made 69.
Rejaur Rahman bagged five wickets for Sylhet while left-arm spinner Enamul Haque Jr picked up three.

Dhaka v Rangpur
The capital city outfit trail Rangpur by 39 runs in the tier one game in Bogra after the former registered 195/5 in 49.4 overs at stumps.
One-drop batsman Raqibul Hasan made 67 while opening batter Abdul Mazid scored 52 for Dhaka.
Rangpur’s Mukidul Islam took three wickets.
Earlier, Rangpur were all out for 234 in 81.3 overs in their first innings after resuming the day on 110/5 in 41 overs.
Rangpur all-rounder Nasir Hossain scored 70 while No 3 batsman Sohrawardi Shuvo made 57.
Dhaka left-arm spinner Nazmul Islam caused the most damage with five wickets while Salauddin Sakil notched three.

Rajshahi v Khulna
The entire first day of the tier one match between Rajshahi and Khulna in Mirpur was washed out owing to persistent rainfall but play finally began on the second day.
However, only 12 overs of play was possible as Rajshahi posted 36 without loss, openers Avishek Mitra and Mizanur Rahman remaining not out on nine and 26 respectively.
Barisal v Chittagong
The tier two game between Barisal and Chittagong in Barisal did not see any action for the second day in succession due to the aftereffects of Cyclone Bulbul.
