Lemos happy with clean sheet

Holder Abahani Limited kicked off the TVS Federation Cup campaign in style after handing newcomer Bangladesh Police FC 4-0 in the inaugural game of the season-opening tournament at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka Wednesday.

Portuguese tactician Mario Lemos seemed to be a happy man for not conceding, rather than the four goals scored. 

The Portuguese coach said, “My focus is to defend well because I know the attackers can score but we need very compact defending line. The performance was good.”

Police’s Serbian coach Nikola Vitorovic denied talking to the media. 

Team manager Sheikh Maruf Hasan said, “Overall we did not play bad, we will try to come back in the upcoming days, starting with Arambagh KS in the next match (Saturday).”
