Both Abahani and Bashundhara have planned to prepare Christmas cake for the Christian players and coaching staffs
Vigo, the northwestern city of Spain, is one of the most attractive Christmas destinations in Europe, but Oscar Bruzon wouldn’t be there with his family for the second year in a row.
The Bashundhara Kings head coach though has other plans to celebrate Christmas in Bangladesh.
Bruzon, along with his wife and Kings players, including Costa Rican World Cupper Daniel Colindres, planned to visit Doripara Catholic Church in Kaliganj, Gazipur after an invitation from a coaching staff member.
“[Tuesday] I will have dinner with my wife and [Wednesday] afternoon we will visit Doripara Church. We will have some Christmas activities with the Christian community over there. We will have team practice in the evening though,” Bruzon said Tuesday.
Bruzon’s hometown Vigo is a stunning tourist destination, especially for those who want to explore color and festive mood in Christmas.
Bruzon used to spend Christmas in Vigo with family and relatives in the years gone by.

”My family members giving between them all the Christmas gifts [Tuesday]. The 25th is also a family day where we share a long lunch, followed by different performances from the youngest generation,” said Bruzon, who spent last year’s Christmas in Dhaka as their Independence Cup final was held on December 26.
Mario Lemos, the Portuguese head coach of Abahani Limited, have to spend Christmas at the club premises as they have Federation Cup fixture against Arambagh Krira Sangha on Boxing Day.
“I’ll be working on Christmas. We have training to prepare for the match against Arambagh,” said Lemos.
Lemos admitted to missing his family on this day.
“It’s family day for me. All the family members meet together and eat together on this day,” rued Lemos.
