North Zone’s Taskin Ahmed bagged a five-for to leave Central Zone in a spot of bother after day one of their second round match in the eighth round of the franchise-based Bangladesh Cricket League in Sylhet Friday.
It was a comparatively even affair between Central and North as the latter registered 89 for the loss of three wickets in 36 overs, replying to the former’s 170 all out in 48.5 overs.
Asked to bat first, Central lost wickets at regular intervals and were eventually bundled out for a below-par total in the face of some disciplined bowling by Taskin.
