The 36 members of the U-21 national hockey team squad have been asked to report to coach Mamunur Rashid Saturday evening for the residential camp, ahead of the Bangabandhu U-21 Junior Hockey Championship, scheduled to be held next year from January 21-30.
The first five days will be reserved for Covid-19 tests, following which the players, who test negative, will train both at Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium in Dhaka and the Air Force base.
The players have already undergone a fitness camp last August where they also had to take Covid-19 tests.
Host Bangladesh, China, Chinese Taipei, India, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Oman, Uzbekistan and Pakistan are slated to take part in the tournament.
The three best teams will qualify for the Junior Hockey World Cup in India.
