Bangladesh Navy claimed the Bangabandhu Federation Cup Basketball Tournament after beating Bangladesh Air Force by 90-44 points in the final at Dhanmondi Basketball Gymnasium in Dhaka Thursday.
The dominant Navy side led the first half 46-17 and maintained their supremacy in the second half, Sajib leading the way with 39 points for the champion team.
Mithun chipped in 13 points for Navy, while Air Force’s Tanvir and Shishir caged 13 points each.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Jahid Ahsan Russel was present among others in the prize distribution ceremony.
Bangladesh Basketball Federation organized the tournament to mark the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
