Nasrin Football Academy will be looking to give title favourite Bashundhara Kings a tough run for their money in the Women’s Football League as the former closed the latter’s lead at the top of the points table to three points.

The Kings squad are studded with star national players but Nasrin FA showed they are not far behind as their former national age-level players Anai Mogini and Anuching Mogini were on the scoresheet in the 3-0 win over Galactico Select Football Club Saturday.

Aklima netted the other for Nasrin FA at Kamalapur’s Bir Sreshtha Shaheed Mostafa Kamal Stadium where Jamalpur Kacharipara XI also won on the same day, edging Comilla United 2-1.

Comilla took the lead in the 18th minute through Nahar before Jamalpur brought parity on the stroke of the first half break.

Anika grabbed the winner in the second half to take Jamalpur to third with 13 points following their fourth victory.
