The six-day long Bangabandhu Victory Day Volleyball Tournament 2020, organized by Bangladesh Volleyball Federation, will get underway Saturday in Paltan’s Shaheed Nur Hossain National Volleyball Stadium.
The tournament has been organized to mark the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, along with the historic Victory Day.
The details of the tournament were announced Thursday afternoon at the press conference room of Dhaka’s Bangabandhu National Stadium.
Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Air Force, Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Ansar, Power Development Board and Titas Club will be among the nine participating teams.
For the first time in the country’s history, three women’s volleyball teams will take part in the tournament.
