Six Bangladeshis picked in T10 League

All the six cricketers must obtain the NOC from BCB in order to take part in the tournament’s fourth edition

Six Bangladesh cricketers were picked up in the players’ draft of the Abu Dhabi T10 League Wednesday, ahead of the tournament’s opening match on Monday at Sheikh Abu Zayed Stadium.

All-rounders Mosaddek Hossain and Muktar Ali and pacer Taskin Ahmed were roped in by Maratha Arabians, who have former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik as icon cricketer. 

Off-spinning all-rounders Mehedi Hasan and Afif Hossain were picked up by Bangla Tigers, who have Sri Lankan pacer Isuru Udana as icon player.  

Nasir Hossain, who missed out on the recently concluded Bangabandhu T20 Cup due to failing a fitness test, was roped in by Pune Devils, who have Lankan all-rounder Thisara Perera as icon cricketer.

Bangla Tigers are set to represent Bangladesh cricket in the upcoming edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 League.

Nasir, who picked up a wicket and scored a half century in his last competitive outing on March 16 for Lt. Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, has not been in action for nine months now.

All the six cricketers must obtain the No Objection Certificate from Bangladesh Cricket Board in order to take part in the tournament’s fourth edition.

The T10 League final will be held on February 6 and will clash with the West Indies’ tour of Bangladesh.
