A total of 44 players took part in this eight-day event
Saif Sporting Club Grandmastar Ziaur Rahman emerged as the unbeaten champion in the Mujib Barsho Invitational International Rating Chess Tournament.
Ziaur earned 7.5 points from nine games, while Uttara Central Chess Club’s Anat Chowdhury finished second with seven points.
In the ninth and final round Saturday at the old building of the National Sports Council in Dhaka, Ziaur drew with Fide Master Parag, who finished third, while Anat beat Candidate Master Sohel Chowdhury.
A total of 44 players took part in this eight-day event which was held in accordance with the Swiss League System.
