Kings rode on a brace from Brazilian forward Robinho to continue their fine start to the season after winning the Federation Cup
Bashundhara Kings picked up their second consecutive victory in the embryonic stages of the Bangladesh Premier League as they beat Police FC 2-1 at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka Tuesday evening.
The Kings, who beat Uttar Baridhara 2-0 in their opening game, rode on a brace from Brazilian forward Robinho to continue their fine start to the season after winning the Federation Cup.
Robinho scored his first in the 16th minute by placing home a rebounder after a shot from Raul Beccera, Chilean striker of Argentine origin, was parried away by Police goalkeeper Mohammad Nehal.
Police brought parity in the 42nd minute through Ivorian defender Lansine Tore, who headed home from a Murolimjon Akhmedved free kick.
Robinho though soon netted what turned out to be the winner, in the added time of first half, after Nehal fisted away a Mohammad Ibrahim shot.
