Chittagong Abahani Limited avenged their defeat to Saif Sporting Club in the season opening Federation Cup by winning 1-0 in their Bangladesh Premier League encounter at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka Sunday.
Brazilian forward Nixon Guilherme, who netted the winner against Arambagh Krira Sangha in the previous game, scored the all-important goal in the 24th minute when he headed home from a Rakib Hossain corner.
The port city outfit, who lost to Lt. Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited in their BPL opener, have six points from three matches while Saif Sporting have four points from three games after drawing with Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society and beating Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited in their first two matches.
