Bangladeshi archers Mohammad Ruman Shana and Diya Siddiqui bowed out of the recurve mixed event of the Tokyo Olympics in the pre-quarterfinal stage after losing to top-ranked Korea by 0-6 set points Saturday morning.
Ruman and Diya lost the first set 38-30 and despite showing some fight in the following sets, eventually succumbed to defeat by 35-33 and 39-38 points.
The Bangladesh archery duo had earlier qualified for the eliminations by beating higher ranked pairs from Canada, Brazil and Moldova, among others, in the qualifying rounds, but ultimately came up short against Korean top seeds An San and Kim Je Deok.
