Bangladeshi archer Diya Siddiqui has tested positive for coronavirus after arriving in the USA for the World Archery Championship, scheduled to begin Tuesday in Youngstown.
Diya, who was slated to take part in the women's recurve singles of the ranking round starting at 8pm Bangladesh time, is asymptomatic and will undergo another Covid-19 test before her opening match.
Diya along with the other five archers of the Bangladesh team had all tested Covid-19 negative before their departure to the USA for the World Archery.
Bangladesh's Asim Kumar Das will participate in the compound event, while Ruman Shana, Hakim Ahmed, Ram Krishno Saha and Beauty Ray will take part in the recurve singles.
