Many thought Sujon would get elected unopposed from category three but it will now turn into an interesting fight for votes after Fahim collected his nomination paper Saturday
Veteran local coach Nazmul Abedeen Fahim will contest in the BCB Election for the first time as he will vie for the solitary director's post from category three against former captain Khaled Mahmud Sujon.
The BCB Election, scheduled to be held on October 6, will see a total of 25 directors form the new BCB committee that will run cricket in the country for the next four years.
In category one, 12 directors will be elected from and by the Dhaka League Clubs.
In category two, 10 directors will be elected from and by the district sports associations.
In category three - where Fahim will go up against Sujon - one director will be elected with votes from 43 councilors from university, education board and government agencies and also former captains and cricketers.
The two other directors will be nominated by the National Sports Council.
Many thought Sujon would get elected unopposed from category three but it will now turn into an interesting fight for votes after Fahim collected his nomination paper Saturday.
