Bangladesh earned an incredible 5-0 win against a Hong Kong side on Sunday in Uzbekistan at a friendly match.

Captain Sabina Khatun single handedly dismantled the Hong Kong Football Association side at Jar Academy Stadium as she scored four goals. Bangladesh are in 137th position of the ranking while Hong Kong are on 76th.

Bangladesh had a dismal 2022 AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualification campaign recently as they lost both their games with an identical figure of 5-0 against Jordan and Iran on 19th and 22nd September respectively.

The recent win, albeit in a friendly match thus will be a tonic for the women in red and green and it all started in the 18th minute of the game when Tahura Khatun broke the deadlock.

Since the opening goal the rest of the show was dazzled by Sabina, who wreak havoc amongst the opposition ranks.

The 27-year old striker, who was in prolific domestic  form scoring an astounding 62-goal haul in just games for Bashundhara Kings, scored her first in the 43rd minute of the game to make the score 2-0.

Sabina, who holds the record of most number of international goals (18) for Bangladesh irrespective of male or female, looked even more ruthless and accurate after the break.

She made the brace in the 53rd minute before completing her hat-trick four minutes later. During the 85th minute Sabina scored her fourth goal to complete the huge drubbing.
