The country's leading cricketers wished Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on her 74th birthday, expecting that her fearless leadership will continue to earn laurels for the country.
Ace all-rounder Shakib al Hasan and former captain Mashrafe bin Mortaza led the way in greeting the Prime Minister on her birthday
"Wishing you all the happiness in the world on your special day," Shakib, who is now in the United Arab Emirates to play the IPL, wrote on facebook.
"May you continue to live long and inspire us with your leadership and unconditional love for our motherland. Your best health shall ensure prosperity of our nation. Happy Birthday our beloved Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina."
Mashrafe, also an MP from Narail-2 constituency, wished the Prime Minister's long life on her birthday.
"Happy birthday...Honorable Prime Minister, Bangabandhu's daughter, Sheikh Hasina, let us move forward under your able leadership. I wish you long life..."
ODI captain Tamim Iqbal, who is currently in Nepal to play in the Everest Premier League, greeted the Prime Minister, saying, "Your leadership, foresight and dedication continue to inspire us all. I believe the country will move forward under your leadership. I wish the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina good health and long life."
Mahmudullah, the captain of the T20 team, also wrote, "Happy birthday, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. May Bangladesh move forward under your astute leadership. I wish you good health and long life."
