Yasin suspended for crucial Nepal clash

One of Bangladesh's defensive cornerstones in the Saff Championship 2021, Yasin Arafat will be missing from the dugout during the do-or-die clash against Nepal Wednesday due to suspension.

The 19-year old became a national hero after scoring against mighty India as 10-man Bangladesh rescued a valiant point, but interim head coach Oscar Bruzon will be missing the services of the full back owing to accumulation of yellow cards.

Yasin received a caution in the 1-0 win against Sri Lanka in the tournament opener, and was also one among five Bangladesh players to be booked against Maldives, thus ruling him out of the vital Nepal clash.

Defender Bishwanath Ghosh and winger Rakib Hossain are back for the Nepal clash after missing the 2-0 loss against Maldives due to suspension.

After playing three games in seven days, Bangladesh players will rest Friday and Saturday before returning to training Sunday.
