
Nasir Hossain led the way for the discards with an unbeaten century as Gazi Group Cricketers thumped Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited by seven wickets.
Rubel Hossain also shone brightly, bagging six wickets to steer Prime Bank Cricket Club to a five-wicket win over Kalabagan Krira Chakra.
Abdur Razzak and Sohag Gazi, meanwhile cast their spell on Victoria Sporting Club as Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club pipped the former to a two-wicket victory.
Interestingly, all the matches Thursday were won by the side batting second.
Gazi v Mohammedan, BKSP 3
Asked to bat first, Mohammedan made a slow start and lost wickets at regular intervals. At one point, they were struggling on 78 runs for the loss of four wickets when Afghanistan recruit Rahmat Shah (78) and Mehedi Hasan Miraz (52) put on 118 runs for the fifth wicket.
Rahmat struck half a dozen fours in his 91-ball knock while Miraz hit a six and a couple of boundaries in his 70-ball innings.
The traditional Black and Whites eventually posted 220/8.
In reply, Gazi lost quick wickets, those of Jahurul Islam (one) and Mominul Haque (two). However, Nasir then took charge, batting brilliantly on his way to an unbeaten, run-a-ball 106, composed with nine fours and five sixes. Indian cricketer Parvez Rasool provided valuable support, making an undefeated 53 off 57 deliveries as the unbroken fourth wicket stand added 144 runs.
Gazi romped to their destination with 13 overs to spare.
Kalabagan v Prime, BKSP 4
Rubel decimated Kalabagan, picking up his third six-wicket haul in List A cricket. Kalabagan, invited to take first guard, were skittled out for 184 in 46.2 overs as Rubel ended up with bowling figures of 6/21 from 8.2 overs, including two maidens.
In pursuit of 185, Prime took 46.5 overs to reach the target with India's Unmukt Chand top-scoring with an unbeaten 61 off 100 balls.

Razzak and Gazi shared seven wickets between themselves as Victoria were bundled out for 209 in 48.2 overs after batting first.
Razzak gave away 29 runs in his quota of 10 overs while Gazi conceded the same in 9.2 overs. Uttam Sarkar was Victoria's highest scorer with a 102-ball 88.
It ultimately proved to be an exciting chase with Sheikh Jamal only confirming their win with four balls remaining. Nurul Hasan made a vital 80 off 94 deliveries.
