Indian lawmaker of Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuraman Shashi Tharoor has praised Bangladesh cricket team skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza on twitter.
In a tweet posted hours before the ICC Champions Trophy final match between India and Pakistan, he tweet: "A brilliantly sane perspective on cricket from Bangladesh's philosopher-captain Mashrafe @IamMortaza. Applaud the real heroes, enjoy the game."
India and Pakistan are going to lock horns at 3:30am on Sunday (BST) in the ICC Champions Trophy title clash.
Shashi Tharoor also added a photo with Mashrafe’s quote: "The labourers are the stars, they build the country. What have we built using cricket? Does paddy grow on the cricket field? Those who make courtyards using bricks, make things at factories, grow crops in the fields - they are the stars."
The tweet was loved by over 950 fans of Shashi Tharoor and it was retweeted for more than 350 times in last six hours.
Bangladesh cricket team returned home on Saturday following their 50-day long tour of Ireland and England.
The Tigers contested a tri-nation series in Ireland, involving the home side and New Zealand, before embarking on their 2017 Champions Trophy mission where they exited in the semi-finals against India.
And upon their return, Tigers captain Mashrafe bin Mortaza informed that their Champions Trophy experience will serve them in good stead for the 2019 World Cup, also scheduled to be held in England and Wales.
