Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal will not take part in any further matches for Essex Eagles in the NatWest T20 Blast and will return home on Wednesday due to personal reason. Essex conformed this via a press release in their website.
The official website of Essex said, “Essex County Cricket Club can confirm that overseas player, Tamim Iqbal, has left the Club with immediate effect due to personal reasons. We wish him all the best and it would be appreciated if Tamim’s privacy is respected during this time.”
Tamim played one match for Essex and scored seven against Kent Spitfires at Kent County Cricket Ground on Sunday.
