Bangladesh drew their three-day warm-up game against Cricket South Africa XI Saturday at Willowmoore Park in Benoni.
Resuming their second innings on six without loss in three overs, the Tigers posted 235 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 63 overs before declaring at stumps to take an overall lead of 228.
Middle-order batsman Sabbir Rahman top-scored with an enterprising unbeaten 98-ball 67, featuring eight fours.
Opener Imrul Kayes also made an exciting 54-ball 51, studded with seven boundaries and an over boundary.
The other Bangladesh batsman who was also among the runs include Mominul Haque (33 off 38 balls).
CSA XI’s Shaun von Berg bagged four wickets conceding 77 runs in 25 overs, including three maidens.
Earlier in their first innings, the Tigers registered 306/7 declared in 74.1 overs with Mominul (68 off 73 balls), Test captain Mushfiqur Rahim (63 off 85 balls), Sabbir (58 not out off 89 balls) and opener Soumya Sarkar (43 off 69 balls) all chipping in with vital contributions.
In reply, CSA XI took a seven-run first innings lead after scoring 313/8 declared in 91 overs with paceman Shafiul Islam taking two wickets.
