Saifuddin: Conceding five sixes in an over is part of game
Comilla Victorians’ Bangladesh all-rounder Saifuddin informed that conceding five consecutive sixes against South Africa batsman David Miller in the second and final T20I Sunday at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom is part of the game. Saifuddin bowled well in that match in his first three overs and took the wicket of opener Hashim Amla and middle-order batsman AB de Villiers, conceding 22 runs. But in his fourth over, Miller smashed five sixes in as many balls and brought an end to the over by taking a single off the sixth delivery. Bangladesh team returned home Tuesday and Saifuddin immediately joined Comilla as part of their preparation for the BPL T20 5.

“That’s part of the game. Past is past. There is nothing much to think about it. Instead, my target is to learn as to how I can improve my bowling in future,” Saifuddin told the media in Sylhet Friday. “Actually I have forgotten about that. Whether I play well or bad, I forget after sometime. Because I always think and plan about the future. Now my main target is how I can improve myself and perform better in future. I have learnt quite a few things from that over. I hope it will help me in future. “Learning is a never-ending process. It was a tough tour against a strong opposition. But the things I have learnt from there will help me to become more mature in future. And I will also utilise the things which I have learned in the BPL,” he added.

Saifuddin informed that playing immediately in the BPL after the South Africa tour is not that much of a problem. And he wants to repay the faith Comilla have shown in him this year after an average season last time around. “I don’t think it’s a hurry. We are professional cricketers. So we have to be within cricket. It’s not so tough for us. I think it can be better for me. I can use my experience from there in this tournament,” he said. “As I have played T20Is for the national team, my target will be to finish among the top five bowlers. I will try to serve my team. Last year, I did not perform well. But still, they kept faith on me and I was retained. So I will try to perform my best for Comilla Victorians,” he concluded.
