Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib al Hasan tasted defeat for the first time in the T10 League as his side Kerala Kings suffered an eight-wicket loss at the hand of Punjabi Legends in Sharjah Friday.
Asked to bat first, Kerala posted 114 runs for the loss of four wickets in their allotted 10 overs with last game's player of the match Paul Stirling top-scoring with an undefeated 29-ball 46, featuring four fours and three sixes.
Shakib disappointed with the bat as he made a six-ball seven, including a boundary, before giving a catch to Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik off the bowling of England's Chris Jordan.
In reply, the Legends reached their destination with an over to spare, Malik turning out to be the hero following his unbeaten 25-ball 60, studded with half a dozen fours and four sixers.
Shakib gave away 14 runs in one over.
115/2 in nine overs (Malik 60*, U Akmal 31) beat Kerala Kings
