Marshall Ayub’s 16th first-class ton and Mosharraf Hossain’s unbeaten half-century guided Walton Central Zone to a huge total against BCB North Zone on day two of round four of the Bangladesh Cricket League Wednesday.
In the other game of the franchise-based four-day tournament, Islami Bank East Zone trail Prime Bank South Zone by 308 runs in a rain-interrupted affair. Central Zone resumed the day on 249/3 in 90 overs and riding on Marshall and Mosharraf’s heroics, the side produced the massive score. North Zone’s Ariful Haque picked up four wickets conceding 79 runs in 30 overs.

South Zone’s innings was propelled by Delwar’s 63 and unbeaten 44 from captain-cum-wicketkeeper Nurul Hasan. East Zone’s Khaled Ahmed bagged four wickets while Abu Jayed and Saifuddin notched two scalps each.
Later, East Zone batted 33 overs amid rain delay and posted 95 losing three wickets in 33 overs.
