Mushfiqur Rahim scored his second double century against Zimbabwe at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka Monday during day two of their second and final Test of the series

Bangladesh's Mushfiqur Rahim became the first wicketkeeper-batsman in the history of Test match cricket to score two double hundreds.

Mushfiq scored his second double century against Zimbabwe at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka Monday during day two of their second and final Test of the series.

His previous double hundred (200) as a wicketkeeper-batsman came against Sri Lanka in Galle in 2013.

Mushfiq is playing this Test as wicketkeeper-batsman.

Previously, Imtiaz Ahmed (Pakistan) scored 209 in 1955, Taslim Arif (Pakistan) made 210 in 1980,  Brendon Kuruppu (Sri Lanka) hit 201 in 1987, Andy Flower (Zimbabwe) blasted 232 in 2000, Adam Gilchrist (Australia) hammered 204 in 2002, Kumar Sangakkara (Sri Lanka) scored 230 in 2002 and MS Dhoni (India) made 224 in 2013 as wicketkeeper-batsman in Tests.

Sangakkara scored 11 double centuries in his Test career, but registered only one as a wicketkeeper-batsman, while Flower scored one double hundred and came agonisingly close to scoring his second, before being stranded not out on 199.
