Nayeem Hasan broke the record of Australia’s Pat Cummins who took five wickets against South Africa in 2011 at the age of 18 years and 193 days
Off-spinner Nayeem Hasan created a world record against the West Indies during their first Test match as the 17-year old Bangladeshi became the youngest cricketer in the history of Tests to take five wickets on debut.
His bowling figure read 14-2-61-5 after the first Windies innings at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium Friday.

Nayeem’s official age is now 17 years and 355 days, meaning the youngster is now in the record books of Test cricket.
Bangladesh also boast the world record of the youngest Test centurion as Mohammad Ashraful scored a hundred on debut against Sri Lanka in 2001 in Colombo at the age of 17 years and 61 days.
And so, both the records of the youngest Test centurion and the youngest to take a Test five-for on debut belong to Bangladesh now.
