BCB North Zone right-arm pacer Ebadat Hossain registered his maiden first-class five-for to restrict Walton Central Zone to a below par total on the first day in the second round of the Bangladesh Cricket League on Wednesday.
North Zone right-arm pacer Ebadat bagged six wickets to keep opposition Central Zone to 220 in the first innings at Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra.
At stumps on day one, North Zone trail by 148 runs with nine wickets remaining in the innings.
Sent to bat first, Central Zone saw Abdul Mazid score 76 while Shuvagata Hom added 48 to the board, but the side crumbled their way to a below-par total triggered by 24-year old pacer Ebadat.
Later, North Zone batted for 15.1 overs and scored 72 losing just one wicket as Mizanur Rahman and Farhad Hossain remained undefeated on 34 and 31 respectively.
