The Prime Bank National School Cricket 2018-19 season, organised by the BCB, has begun with the participation of 11,120 young players from as many as 556 institutions.
The details of the competition were announced in press conference Saturday at the BCB’s media centre in the presence of BCB director and the board’s age-level cricket tournament committee chairman Tanzil Chowdhury and Prime Bank Limited managing director and CEO Rahel Ahmed, among others.
The curtain of the school tournament was raised Thursday in Faridpur with the district level matches.
The best schools from the 64 districts will then contest the divisional championship, following which the seven divisional champions and winner of the Dhaka Metropolis will take part in the national championship.
A total of 965 matches will be held this year – 901 in the district level, 57 in the division level and seven in the national championship.
