Rangpur Riders' South African batsman Rilee Rossouw made a record on Monday as he has became the highest run scorer in a single BPL season surpassing previous record held by Pakistani opener Ahmed Shehzad.

Shehzad achieved that feat in the first season of the BPL back in 2012 for Barisal Burners in 12 innings.

Rossouw started with 459 runs against Rajshahi and scored 55 off 43 balls with five fours and two sixes at Zahur Ahmed Chodhury stadium.

In total, Rossouw’s run tally now stands at 514-runs this season from 11 innings. He scored that with a staggering 85.66 average and 151.17 strike rate.

Rossouw scored five half-centuries and one century and hit 45 fours and 22 sixes so far this season.
